Mission and standards
Our goal is to become a dependable reference for contractors, estimators, facility managers, manufacturers, distributors, architects, engineers and property owners.
Source quality
Reports prioritize primary documents, government agencies, manufacturers, trade organizations, project owners and established regional or industry publications. Sources used in each report are linked for verification and further reading.
Facts and interpretation
Factual reporting is distinguished from market interpretation. When evidence is incomplete or conditions are changing, the report will describe the uncertainty rather than present speculation as fact.
Corrections
Material errors will be corrected promptly. Significant corrections should include a visible note explaining what changed and when. Older reports remain archived so industry developments can be reviewed over time.
Commercial relationships
Sponsors, advertisers and submitted product information do not receive favorable editorial conclusions. Paid placements are clearly labeled. Product or company references are included when they are relevant to the subject being reported.
Reader submissions
Contractors, manufacturers, representatives, facility teams and industry organizations may suggest topics or provide documentation. Submission does not guarantee publication, and material may be independently verified before use.
Scope
Coverage may include local, regional and national developments when they affect commercial painting, protective coatings, construction activity, facility maintenance, safety, materials, labor, equipment or technical practice.
The Commercial Painting & Coatings Report is published by Spray GenX LLC, a commercial painting and refinishing contractor. The publication is intended to provide industry value beyond the promotion of the company’s services.
